Valentines Mailbox

This was the wee p's v-day box. Mister Fluffykins took home 2 prizes. One for being the most creative and the second prize was for the cutest.

Materials:
- Fur Fabric (black & white)
- 2 large styrofoam balls
- Giant googly eyes
- White paint
- Black & red glitter foam sheets
- Sparkle silver pipe cleaner
- Shoe box
- Wrapping paper
- Hot glue gun
- 2 small screws

Instructions-

We used the wrapping paper for the inside of his mouth. Then we hot glued the white fur onto the box. *If you don't have a glue gun, a stapler would work. The fur will cover over the staples. Just make sure the fur is pulled tight.*

Paint the styrofoam balls white. When they are dry, attach the googly eyes using the hot glue gun. Using the black fur, cut two strips off for eyebrows. You will then glue them above the eyes. To attach the eyes we used the 2 screws. This kept them firmly attached. Going from the inside of the mouth, push up into the box and hold the eye firmly in place. You will have to push thru the box and fur. Once you feel it push thru the fur, start turning the screw into the eye.

Using the red foam sheet begin to cut out teeth in any shape you would like. Attach with glue gun.

Make a small hole on each side of the box and push the pipe cleaner thru, then twist it into a knot to make sure it's secure. Use to smaller pieces to make fingers.

Using the red foam sheet cut out a heart. Place it in the monsters hand and fold fingers around it to keep it in place.

Use the black foam to cut out feet. You can use bits of the red foam for a nail polish look. Attach with glue gun.

TADA! You have your very own Valentines monster.

This project took about 30 minutes. I suggest painting the eyes first and then starting on the box.

The cost was about $6. We only needed to get the fur sheets, styrofoam balls and the eyes.
