We bought the Wee P a turntable and we bought ourselves one as well. This is one day of LP purchases.

Kitty Korner

We built this privacy/lounge box about 6 months ago. It hides two litter boxes, a box of litter, a scooper and has a compartment for bags, so you always have one on hand and can quickly clean out the kitties business.

I’m thankful for my hubby because he helps me build my ideas. I would’ve done a lot of this stuff by myself, but he says it’s best I don’t mess with the power tools. If you know me personally, I’m sure you can agree with him.

 So how our teamwork works is by me telling him of my idea/vision, he looks at my crayon blue print and then turns it into a reality. I do all the decorating myself.

Tonight we added two shelves. We got an Ekby Jarpen shelve and brackets from Ikea. They have lots of sizes to choose from. We picked this style because it would hold our cats and I felt these brackets would be the most supportive.  

 I used left over fabric from the lounge box. Because the brackets cover the ends, I trimmed the fleece shorter, so it wouldn’t be where I needed to slide the end on. I then wrapped the fabric around and secured it with staples. Pop on the end brackets and trim up any areas that may need it.


**FOLLOW-UP** I had some readers ask about the actual privacy box. The materials I used were:
Plywood
2x2
Wall brackets (2)
Nails
Fabric & fleece
Foam

It's actually rather simple. Measure out the area where you want to do this. Cut the wood at home or know the measurements ahead of time and Home Depot can do it for you.

I attached the brackets to the wall. I took the 2 pieces of wood and nailed them together, so it looks like and "L". I didn't attach it to the wall. It just makes it easier to lift and remove when I mop.

To attach the fabric I used a staple gun. For the curtains I used a small dowel and two eye hooks. If you are interested in making one, send me a message. I can put more thought process into how I made this and give you better directions.

Driving Mr Oskie

Our kitty Oskar is pretty much a dog. He comes when you whistle for him, he carries his toys around in his mouth, he likes to go for car rides and he has bad doggie farts.

This was him 2 weeks ago on his way to the vet.

He knows when we are pulling into our neighborhood.

He's just adorable!!

My silly kitty

Oskar is partially blind and all the time cross-eyed. It's really funny to watch him when we are watching movies because our surround sound freaks him out.

At the time of these photos we were watching Hugo and the clock ticking was freaking him out. He was on the couch and these series of pictures just make me laugh.

The kitties got mail

Today in the mail the cats got a present from an Etsy seller called Marvelous Melissa. It was like they knew it was for them. They all gathered around and waited patiently for me to open it.

I loved the packaging and the postcard of her own kitty being included. The story with the mice was cute as well. My fave thing about this seller is that these are recycled eco-friendly wooly sock and sweater cat toys.   

The cats could smell the catnip and played with them all night long. These are super cute and I would suggest getting some and make our babies happy. Plus you'll get warm fuzzies for helping out a small seller and buying homemade goods.
